🔧 How We Work in “Darb Rezq”

What Projects Do We Support?

We support in the first phase small and micro-projects, especially those that can have a direct impact on the lives of their owners, families, and surroundings quickly and effectively.

We welcome projects that:

  • Have a previous foundation (shop, workshop, tools…) that has been disrupted or damaged.
  • Or those that will launch for the first time, provided there is a clear idea, sufficient experience, and realistic implementation.
  • Can start with limited operational or in-kind support to resume or begin work.
  • Provide direct income for one or more families, especially the most affected families.
  • Contribute to serving the surrounding community (such as: sewing workshops, bakeries, agriculture, repair…).
  • Are managed by committed people who have actual experience or skill in the field.

Our immediate goal is to support the largest possible number of small projects with rapid and direct impact. As for the long term, we seek to develop our tools and methodology so that we can support broader types of economic initiatives, including gradual growth projects, cooperatives, and social projects that enhance sustainable local economy.

What Projects Do We Not Support?

We apologize for not supporting projects that:

  • Aim to achieve large commercial profits or need massive capital.
  • Lack experience or seriousness, or lack a clear implementation plan.
  • Depend entirely on donations without a vision for sustainability.
  • Are managed for purely personal purposes without clear community or family impact.
  • Conflict with our values or cause social or environmental harm.

How Do We Determine Our Priorities?

We evaluate each project based on:

  1. Extent of human need: especially in cases of loss of breadwinner or income interruption.
  2. Project impact on family and community: Does it serve others? Does it enhance solidarity?
  3. Implementation readiness: availability of place, tools, experience… and readiness to launch quickly.
  4. Sustainability and self-reliance: Is the project capable of continuing after support?
  5. Role of women and youth: We prioritize projects led by women or supporting their empowerment, as well as youth professional projects.
  6. Transparency and follow-up: The project owner’s ability to cooperate and provide information and updates.

How Do We Choose Projects for Funding Campaigns?

For projects we present in crowdfunding campaigns:

  • We choose them based on transparent and fair criteria, not based on personal preferences.
  • We ensure diversity of sectors and categories, to represent different segments of society.
  • We prefer projects that have an inspiring story, presentable, and capable of interacting with the public.
  • We follow their implementation in detail, and share implementation stages with the public to build trust.

Our Work Steps

  1. Initial Assessment: Examining submitted projects and their compatibility with our criteria
  2. Field Visit: Meeting project owners and evaluating the situation on the ground
  3. File Preparation: Comprehensive documentation of the project and its needs
  4. Project Presentation: Sharing the project with potential supporters
  5. Securing Funding: Collecting required donations for the project
  6. Continuous Follow-up: Monitoring progress and providing periodic reports
